Graduating from college is exciting. But figuring out what comes next can also be overwhelming.
What kind of job should I be looking for? Where do I even start? Is my resume good enough? How do I network when I don't know anyone? Why am I applying and not hearing back?
These are questions I hear from college students and recent graduates all the time.
And as a parent, it can be hard to know how much to help—especially when your student doesn't necessarily want career advice from you.
You can be their parent. I'll be their career coach.
The transition from college to a first professional job isn't always easy.
Today's job search requires much more than finding openings online and submitting applications. Students need to know what they're looking for, understand what they have to offer, build relationships, prepare for interviews, and know when to change their approach if something isn't working.
Those aren't skills everyone learns in college.
That's where I can help.
I work with students to create a plan that makes the job search feel more manageable—and then help them actually follow through on it.
